Tsurupica TM（太赫兹超透镜）在传统材料如聚乙烯下，在可见光和太赫兹的波长下具有非常高的透射率和较低的吸收。 这个镜头是由RIKEN的光电研究团队光电研究中心发明的透镜由透明材料制成，在THz区域和可见光波长下具有相同的折射率。 因此，不可见的太赫兹波的波束传播可以通过He-Ne激光可视化和追踪。第二个主要特点是不具有聚乙烯的强烈吸收，因此该材料适用于低温恒温器或辐射热计的窗口。菲涅尔损耗也低于Si基板。
